Foodie heads north to Door County, Wis.

Booboo731 Sep 13, 2008 07:28 AM

After many years, I'm returning to see some colorful (hopefully) fall folliage this fall in Door County, Wisconsin. We're staying somewhere around Sister Bay, I think. I know the Inn at Kristoffer's and the Whistling Swan were two of my favorite spots, but I haven't been to DC in years. Any new recommendations??? Also, my favorite Root Beer is at Wilson's. Yummy! Anyone have an update on Door County foods I shouldn't miss???

Yeah, it's tough to beat Wilson's for ice cream. Al Johnson's in Sister Bay is also a good spot for breakfast (Swedish pancakes, meatballs, etc.) If you search the forums for "Door County" you'll find a number of threads with some good suggestions in them.
