Whole wheat deep dish pizza?

Hello,

My husband and I are coming to Chicago for a holiday in November. I would love to try Chicago-style pizza but I hate white flour crusts. Is there ANYWHERE in the city you can find deep dish/stuffed crust pizza made with whole wheat?

Thanks!!

You should try Chicago deep dish the way it is made. Maybe you'll like it!

I second that. And, anyway, good deep dish has plenty of butter and cornmeal in the dough. It's not like most crusts.

Much like wanting a Chicago-style hot dog with ketchup on a kaiser roll, you either want to experience the dish as it exists in the wild or skip it altogether. We have many other excellent food options. But if you insist on a whole wheat crust then you're eating "Spindoctor Canuck-style pizza" -- an altogether different taste.

I don't think you'll find a whole wheat deep dish - you're more likely to find that for stuffed or thin crust. Edwardo's makes a very good whole wheat crust stuffed pizza. They have a number of locations - check www.edwardos.com
