Anniversary Dinner in Chester county?

I'm looking for a nice non chain restaurant for our anniversary dinner in early October. We will be dropping the kids off at Grandmom's near Coatesville, so anything in West Chester, Exton, Downingtown areas would be great. I'm not into very "exotic" foods, more simple things would be great. Any and all ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I like Jasper in Downingtown. BYOB. Has a range of options foodwise. Craig Laban gave it 2 bells in his review in May. Restored Victorian home. We've always had good service and great food. I especially liked the scallops.

My recommendation is for Sovana Bistro in the Kennett Square area. http://www.sovanabistro.com/restauran...

Sovana's is great. If you want to go "over the top", the Dilworthtown Inn is worth a visit. We usually go there on our anniversary.
