Rec near Omni Shoreham

Looking for an informal bar/restaurant near the Omni Shoreham Hotel in D.C. (near the zoo) for a group of women (anything between 6 and 12 in number) to eat, drink and gossip comfortably on Friday night. We are attending a fundraiser for a charity we all volunteer for and only know each other online.

We will be flying in from all over NA, and income levels will vary widely - I'm anxious that we can find somewhere decent with a friendly vibe and with prices that won't embarrass anyone.

Recs for a good breakfast spot nearby would also be appreciated.

  1. Both Open City and Lebanese Taverna can probably flexibly accommodate seating for 6-12 diners. You can have breakfast at Open City too.

    1. Right across the street from you is a great breakfast spot called Open Table.

If you are willing to walk a little bit, you can head up to Cleveland Park (1 metro stop or about a 15 minute walk) and grab drinks and food at Bardeo. They also have a nice sit down restaurant next door (Ardeo) if you decide for a sit-down meal.

Heading towards Adams Morgan (again only a 10-15 minute walk), I would go to The Reef, Perrys, or Bourbon. All have drinks, decent food and large areas for your group to gather.

Many thanks. I'll have a look at all of those online.
