There are 2 really good authentic Chinese Restaurants in Tampa. They are also quite close to eachother so you could start at one and end at the other. This board is pretty evenly split between the 2. My favorite is China Yuan which is on Armenia Ave and has a website you can google. The other is Yummy House which is on Waters Ave. Also, a place called ABC Seafood in St Pete that a lot of people say is good and authentic but I have never been there. Search the Fl board and you'll see lots of posts.
My favorite Vietnamese is Pho Quyen which has 2 locations but I like the one at the corner of W Hillsborough and Armenia Ave.

I believe they are up to four locations now - two in Tampa, 2 in Pinellas Park. While in Tampa, I frequent the location near USF and here in Pinellas I go to the one on 66th.

wow! I had no idea! Do they all have the same menu? The one I go to has this amazing stuffed squid in a coconut curry sauce. Sometimes in season they even have the snow pea tips.
Oh yeah and on Pho Quyen I meant w Hillsborough and Memorial
