Angkor Thai in Chinatown East

I can remember definitley having a hole-in-the-wall type meal experience that wasn't so bad a few years ago.

But I never see anyone in there when I pass by now...

  1. It's a depressing, dark place. And the food isn't anything special.

As I've mentioned before, I spent 6 yrs in Cambodia and can now barely eat the food. The can take the same ingredients at their Vietnamese and Thai neighbours and make stuff that is incredibly boring.
When I'm in Canada I eat at Pho 88 next door all the time. I have hardly ever seen any one in the Angkor place. I went in one time to grab a menu. I talked to him in Khmer and he answered me in English without even looking at me, making him one rude Cambodian. A couple of other people I know who worked in Cambodia have reported the same thing.
He seems to be pushing a Thai menu these days.
