Black Tip Shark

Just bought some black tip shark steaks. I was thinking of searing in a very hot pan. I may brush with some mashed garlic and sea salt and crushed black pepper. I've never cooked this before. How long to cook? Any ideas?

  1. 10 min per inch is a general rule. Shark is like swordfish. It's dense and meaty.

    1. Trying brushing with mayonnaise an hour before cooking. Then sea salt and fresh cracked pepper.
