Best Value in Montreal
Hi,
I was wondering which restaurant you people consider to have the best value in terms of quality and which restaurant you consider to have the best value in terms of quantity (no all-you-can-eats).

Yes please list one restaurant that has good value in terms of quality and list one restaurant that would leave you overstuffed (no all-you-can-eats)

Definitely Aux Délices de l'Ile Maurice out in Verdun! Huge portions, a real "character" of a chef/owner, good taste, great value for the $. Off the beaten path for most, but worth a trek. Particularly suited to cold-weather dining - we're talking ultra-hearty fare, from the complimentary fried-cabbage appetizer onwards.

note that the prices are slightly out of date, but it's only a few dollars more now-

I love Sylvesters - however, I think you have to be 'in the mood' or, ahh perhaps 'prepared' to eat here. You did not mention that its also BYOB!
I always found Chinatown great value/price. My current favorite is Beijing.
How many times have I paid too much for a limp dinner and have thought 'I could have eaten like a king in chinatown'?
