I was wondering which restaurant you people consider to have the best value in terms of quality and which restaurant you consider to have the best value in terms of quantity (no all-you-can-eats).

Lemeac's special $22 menu after 10:00 is a great deal, methinks.

I also like Pintxo's 4 pintxo (chefs selection) + 1 main deal, for $30.

Definitely Aux Délices de l'Ile Maurice out in Verdun! Huge portions, a real "character" of a chef/owner, good taste, great value for the $. Off the beaten path for most, but worth a trek. Particularly suited to cold-weather dining - we're talking ultra-hearty fare, from the complimentary fried-cabbage appetizer onwards.

I love Sylvesters - however, I think you have to be 'in the mood' or, ahh perhaps 'prepared' to eat here. You did not mention that its also BYOB!

I always found Chinatown great value/price. My current favorite is Beijing.

How many times have I paid too much for a limp dinner and have thought 'I could have eaten like a king in chinatown'?

For the price, the high quality of food and the size of the portions, Au Pied de Cochon is hard to beat. I was also quite pleased with a recent visit at Bottega pizzeria. I'll re port back later.

Doesn't it seem like a shame to go to PDC solely for the purpose of getting overstuffed, in view of the high quality of the food?

In my opinion the best value in terms of quality and quantity is the table d'hote at Europea, unless you happen to be a trencherman. You leave satisfied but not overstuffed.
