bigballoon Sep 10, 2008 02:12 PM

Need to send a gift to a coffee lover in Austin. Looking for a great local coffee company that can put together a nice gift basket. Any recommendations?

This is the only acceptable answer.

Thank you for the quick replies. Looked at Anderson's site, looks fantastic. Called this morning & unfortunately they don't do gift baskets. Any other suggestions?

Buy a basket, go to Anderson's (the best coffee in Austin) and fill it yourself! How hard is that? You may need 2-3 baskets since they have so many wonderful things from coffee and cups to tea and pots, and don't forget the Coffee Crisp bars from Canada...the best candy bar on earth. Really, how hard is that? Or get the stuff, the basket and find a service to arrange it, why you would want to do that, I'm not sure, but Anderson's is the only legit answer, in my idiotic opinion!

bigballoon said in the first post that s/he is looking to SEND a gift basket to somebody in Austin. I assume that s/he is not located in Austin, and wants to find somebody local who will put together a basket and deliver it.

Exactly. I'm not in Austin. The recipient is.

i'm sure there are services that do this sort of thing. Craigslist, or google the proper terms. I doubt any coffee joint in austin delivers this sort of basket, but i may be wrong. and if they do, they probably sub it out. bet you could call Anderson's and see if they could at least recommend or find such a service...just a thought
