Good eats btw Grand Central and Radio City Hall

I'm going into Grand Central on Friday to see a show at Radio City Music Hall. I'm trying to find a great place, between those two locations, to eat dinner. The show starts at 8:00pm-we'll probably be able to get to the restaurant by 5:30 or 6:00. I prefer small rather than a big venue, great service rather than a pretentious attitude, fresh seasonal ingredients, eclectic menu or crowd, any ethnic cuisine is great. Thanks for any ideas or suggestions!

Akdeniz is on 46th St., b/t 5th & 6th Avs. I've not eaten there, but Hounds who have say the Turkish food served there is very good.

Great choice for pre-theater in that area! Just be sure to make a reservation as it is quite small and fills up at that time.

That's perfect-you guys are good! Thank you tipping me off on the reservations. I called and fortunately they have a table for the time that I need. I'm really looking forward to it!

BTW: The pre-theater menu, which they provide along with the regular one is an incredible bargain at about $21. Choices include the wonderful Mediterranean salad, chicken chops, and salmon kabob wrapped in grape leaves. Excellent homemade bread and friendly, efficient service!

Thanks again for the great tip on Akdeniz. We enjoyed it. The Mediterranean salad was indeed wonderful as were the lamb chops. The service was attentive and we'll definitely go again, if and when we're in the need for a reasonable and tasty pre-show meal.
