Good place for early dinner between Albq and Santa Fe

I need your advice on a good southwest food place on our way to Santa Fe. Could either be on I25 or on the "turquoise trail."

Thanks so much for your help!

On the Turquoise Trail, The Mine Shaft Tavern in Madrid [pronounced MAD rid, not MA drid, like in Spain] is a funky place to eat. Elk burgers are really good, especially with green chile and cheese. There isn't much of any other place along that route worth stopping.

I would take the Bernalillo exit and head west on 550. Make a left on 313 [Camino del Pueblo] and try any of these:

    My favorite:
    Abuelita's {"Grandmothers"} 621 Camino del Pueblo

Range Cafe 925 Camino del Pueblo http://www.rangecafe.com

Flying Star 200 Camino del Pueblo

Thanks, Deb. I think we'll try Abulita's. I'll report back
