Daisy Mint Menu

After searching on-line attempting to find a menu for Daisy Mint to send to a friend, I finally gave in and typed up what I think is the current menu. And then, since it seemed like a pity to just email it to my friend, I thought I'd share here. Call to verify menu items, please.

Daisy Mint Menu – 626-792-2999


- Egg Rolls (fried rolls stuffed with cabbage, celery, carrot, and glass noodles served with sweet & sour sauce)
- Summer Rolls (green leaf, cucumbers, carrots, basil wrapped in rice paper, served with peanut sauce)
- Crab Meat Cheese Wonton (deep fried wonton skin filled with imitation crab, cream cheese, onions, avocado, and mayo)
- Pollack Wraps (rice seasoned with Pollack roe and avocado on seaweed)
- Tofu Delight (savory soft tofu garnished with scallions, friend onion, and sesame dressing served cold)
- Peanut Dumplings (served on butter lettuce and cilantro)
- Chicken Sate (marinated chicken tender on skewers served with peanut sauce and cucumber relish)
- Salmon Wraps (seasoning salmon, herb, mint, and avocado wraps in green leaf)

Soup (also available with sizzling rice)
- Tom Yum Chicken (spicy & sour soup with galangal, mushroom, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaf [beef, shrimp, seafood])
- Tom Kah Chicken (mushroom, lemongrass, galangal, and kaffir lime leaf in coconut milk soup [shrimp, seafood])
- Tofu Soup (soft tofu and spinach in vegetable broth)

Side Order
- Steamed white or brown rice
- Sticky rice or lemongrass rice

- House salad (mixed greens and hard boiled eggs with peanut dressing [can add chicken sate])
- Garden Grilled (grilled eggplant, zucchini, roasted bell pepper, mushroom, and shallots in a spicy lime dressing)
- Steak Salad (grilled marinated beef with shallots, scallions, mint, and greens with spicy lime dressing)
- Waterfall Pork (grilled marinated pork with shallots, scallions, rice powder, and greens with spicy lime dressing)
- Spicy Catfish (fried catfish with shallots, green apple, cashew nut, and cilantro with spicy lime dressing)

(served with white or brown rice)
(can add shrimp and / or scallop)
- Panang (a rich panang curry with basil, pumpkin, pea, carrot, and coconut milk with chicken or beef or pork)
- Yellow Chicken (coconut milk, potatoes, and carrot)
- Green Jungle (eggplant, green beans, bell pepper, basil, with chicken or beef)
- Red Devil (red curry with chicken or beef, bamboo shoots, basil, and bell pepper)
- Pineapple Curry (with duck or shrimp, cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, and basil in red curry)

Noodle Soup
- Beef Noodle Soup (rice noodles, bean sprouts, and Chinese broccoli in a beef herbal broth)
- Duck Noodle Soup (rice noodles, bean sprouts, and Chinese broccoli, in a duck herbal broth)

(can add shrimp and / or scallop)
- Pad See Ew (rice noodles, egg, garlic, Chinese broccoli, and black bean sauce [tofu / chicken / beef / or pork])
- Pad Thai Chicken (rice noodles, chicken, eggs, and bean sprouts with ground peanuts on the side)
- Spicy Spaghetti (tomatoes, basil, bell peppers, onions, in garlic and chili sauce [tofu / chicken / beef / or pork])
- Daisy Noodles (rice noodles with red curry, egg, crispy onions, bean sprouts, and crushed peanuts)
- Glass Noodles Shrimp (stir-fried glass noodles with scallions, basil, ginger, and celery in black soy sauce)
- Spaghetti & Black Mussel (spaghetti stir-fried with bell pepper and basil in XO sauce)
- Sea Spaghetti (with bell pepper and basil in green curry sauce)

- Spicy Bamboo (bamboo shoots, sweet basil, and blended ground chilies)
- Mushroom and Ginger (fresh ginger sautéed with onions, mushrooms, and scallions)
- Garlic String Bean (crispy green beans in garlic and black bean sauce)
- Spicy Eggplant (in black bean sauce flavored with fresh chili and basil)
- Pumpkin (with egg and basil in garlic sauce)

Meat and Poultry
(served with white or brown rice)
(can add herb rice or sticky rice)
(can add shrimp and / or scallop)
- Chilies and Basil (bell peppers, chili, and basil leaves [minced chicken / beef / or pork – duck or shrimp – can add fried egg])
- Cashew Nuts (cashew nuts, onions, bell peppers in a shrimp paste sauce [tofu / chicken / beef / or pork])
- Spicy Peanut Chicken / Beef (with shrimp paste and spinach, topped with peanut sauce)
- Honey Pork (marinated with honey and spice served with green apple salsa)
- Daisy Back Rib (grilled marinated pork back rib (contains shellfish – ½ rack or full rack)
- Korean Ribeye (grilled marinated steak served with kimchi)

House Specialties

        Er ... um ... let me put it this way: I've not ordered anything that A) I didn't really like, B) I wouldn't order again, and C) I'd not recommend to others.

        That being said, my personal favorites are:
        - Chicken Sate - moist and flavorful, I usually get extra cucumber relish
        - Salmon Wraps - and I don't much like salmon
        - Garden Grilled Salad
        - Panang and Green Jungle Curries
        - Daisy Noodles - we usually add shrimp and / or scallops
        - All of the stir fried veggies - really like the pumpkin and the garlic green beans
        - Daisy Salmon

        I didn't include their tea list, but it's worth a visit to the restaurant to try some of their incredible teas, too.

          Thanks Elsie! I keep trying to steal a menu, but I think they know what I am up to since I feel their eyes on me!! ;-)

          My faves are the Garlic Green Beans, Eggplant, Spicy Spaghetti with Tofu (be sure to indicate a little oil - one time it came with, like 4 tbsp of oil in the bottom), Tom Yum w/ sizzling rice, Crab Wontons (the best!), Pad See Ew, Daisy salmon, steak salad. When I was there last week, I was going to try the spicy fried rice, but the waitress talked me into trying the Daisy Fried Rice which she described as "like Tom Yum". It was okay, but got a lot better once I added the sauce that comes with the Crab Wontons.
          I have to say the one dish that I had that I really did not like is their Pad Thai - for good PT, go down the street to PresidenTwo. Also, their Daisy Noodles is in a red curry sauce which kind of was not what our mouths were expecting. The Beef Noodle soup needed a lot of doctoring for me to really like it.
          They have a really good carrot cake. Fried ice cream looks like it is made with white bread (iirc) which I was not too crazy about either.

        1. I really enjoyed the eggplant salad, but I don't see it above. Maybe it was a special? Couldn't stop eating it.
