Quebec City: 2 lunches, one dinner?

sbp Sep 9, 2008 07:09 PM

Will be in Quebec City for a short weekend/conference. Can only do dinner Friday, lunch Saturday and Sunday. Staying at Chateau Frontenac. Any suggestions? Would like to stick to French/Quebecoise. From the looks of it, a lot of nice places are not open weekend lunch.

For your dinner, I whole heartedly recommend Toast. I had an amazing meal there 2 weeks ago. http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/554052

In the same review, you'll read about Café du Clocher Penché ant its breakfast/brunch option that is equally really good.

Thanks. For dinner, based on CH reviews and proximity, thinking of either Toast or Panache. Anyone been to both?

Like I said, Toast delivers bang for your buck while I've only heard good things about Panache.

Turns out my plane gets in too late for Dinner, but apparently Toast does Brunch. Can't find their hours on their web site. Would you happen to know?

Brunch, I believe is reserved fot hotel guests since the restaurant is located in a hotel. Then I would direct you towards Café du Clocher Penché, delicious.

We just returned from Quebec City.
My favorite dinner was at Pain Beni- right near your hotel. The salmon appetizer was fantastic as was my butterfish main course. My husband had fabulous lamb and the creme brulee was amazing! Enjoy!
