Fancy-schmancy dinner this Friday in Manhattan??

I'm sure this has been a thread a million times before, but I don't have the energy to go through all the posts...Coming to NY this Friday, want to have a late fancy girly dinner with my friend on Friday night. Where can I get a table for two, about ten-thirty, on such short notice? Price isn't a HUGE issue, but I'd like to keep the bill below a trillian dollars. So tell me some GREAT places I should eat. No sushi please.

Looking on OpenTable, this Friday for 10:30pm for 2, I see openings for a lot of nicer restaurants: Blue Hill, Café Boulud, Craft, Cru, Eleven Madison Park, Gotham Bar and Grill, Gramercy Tavern (actually they are pretty popular so I'd grab this ASAP), Hearth, L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon, Le Bernadin, The Modern - Dining Room, and a whole bunch more.

My flight got in late, so my fancy girls dinner turned into a neighborhood Italian night, which was fine with me. I did make it to Gotham, though, and thought it was terrific, and Fleur de Sel is next on my list. Thanks for the suggestions!
