Price/location/type isn't a factor--just wondering which restos offer the best. TIA!

As I've said before, my GF (a vegeterian) and I (not a vegeterian) have had wonderful experiences at many of the top restaurants in NYC just by calling in advance (at least 3 days) and making sure they can accomodate a vegeterian for a tasting menu. There are several restaurants that already take the vegeterian into consideration, e.g. Daniel.

Per Se if price isn't a factor. Blue Hill's is great.

Gramercy Tavern's is excellent. It's seasonal vegetable tasting (note that it is a vegetable-based tasting menu but NOT strictly vegetarian, however, with advance notice it can be made vegetarian). I'm a meat eater (love steak, pork, etc) and thought it was great.
