Wasn't crazy about Harvest

Wandering around Harvard Square, worked up an appetitite an figured I would give Harvest a try. Bar was quiet, service was friendly, but the food was really a dissapointment. I ordered a cheeseburger (no choice in cheese) although it did arrive properly cooked The tomato slice was pathetic all mushy looking and dark, so I just removed it to the side of my plate. then the french fries, lovely presentation in a small aluminum pail, perfect until I tasted them. They must have used an entire container of salt on them. What gives with the salt? I just don't get it, leave a salt shaker on the bar and let people decide whether or not they want it. So, obviously I went home hungry.

  1. Interesting - I was there last week for lunch and ordered the Cobb salad which was very disappointing. It was basically a smallish amount of chopped salad, comprised of not very fresh seeming greens, bacon and goat(?) cheese, topped with a nice portion of roasted white meat chicken. The chicken was moist to the point of being wet - I wondered if it has been injected with water, like a Butterball turkey! I was hoping for a crispy skin to nibble on, but what I got seemed almost steamed. $17 seemed like a lot for an underwhelming lunch dish.
