MSP - Steakhouse recommendations?

We are going to be celebrating my mother-in-law's birthday on Thursday night and want to take her out for a nice dinner. We've been to a lot of great places that serve steak but are wondering if we're missing out on another great place. Just so you know what we're familiar with, we've been to Kincaid's, Meritage, The Strip Club, Manicini's, Jensen's Supper Club, Murray's, Kozy's and J.D. Hoyt's. Some were obviously better than others. Personally, I like Meritage and The Strip Club, but my husband would like a place that has a little more variety in steak choices. What would you recommend? Thanks!

Axel's is good, not necessarily the most original but they have a few varieties. I also just had a great hangar steak at 128 Cafe over the weekend. They don't have a large menu but what they do have they do well. Husband had the ribs and they were as delicate as usual.

What about Manny's? That, for many, is the gold standard in town for steakhouse fare.

How about Erte in NE Minneapolis? They do a very nice job with steakhouse/supper club standards, given a bit of a modern twist and fresh ingredients.
