Nice Korean restaurant in Richmond

I searched he board for some nice Korean restaurants in the Vancover/Richmon area and didn't see a lot, so I thought I'd add a review of a place I liked. I went to Dai Jang Kum Restaurant because it's near where I"m staying.
It's got a fairly large Korean menu, including items you cook yourself. That's what I got, a combination of meats. The short rib, the ghal bi, was exceptional. I like the chicken as well. There were a couple of side dishes I'd never had before, including an onion dish that was quite sweet. I don't think Dai Jang Kum is a Chowhound destination on he same level as say Sun Sui Wah, which I hope to try on Tuesday.
But it's quite tasty and I ddin't see a lot of Korean restauarnts on the board, so I'm listing it. It's in a strip malll

  1. Thanks for the review Steve! I agree - we need more Korean reviews. Dai Jang Kum is most certainly a Chowhound destination from the sounds of it.

Thanks for the nice words. It's a simple test to merit listing on Chowhound for me. I'd like to go back and eat there again, so I think others might like it, too.

Agreed, fmed! Every little bit helps.

Will suggest this to friends in town.

        Thanks again, SteveTimko.

      2. Don't tend to personally associate Korean restaurants with Richmond, but always good to hear of an interesting find. I came across one driving along Kingsway the other day. More notes and pics here:
