I am going to Maggie Valley in 2 weeks and really want to enjoy going out to eat local style.... not KFC or chains.
Please help! The last post is from 2002. There have to be some good places....

The pizza place on the main drag through town is pretty good - I can't for the life of me remember the name, but it's right there on Soco Road.

Drive over to Waynesville and eat at Clydes.

only places there that I have been that I can recommend are Joey's Pancake House (breakfast only-closed Thurs), Butts on the Creek for BBQ and Maggie Valley Restaurant for any meal--reasonably priced. Have heard a lot about Clyde's in Waynesville and I would check it out also.
