Restaurant Recommendations for Novello Theatre area

I'll be travelling to London in early December to see 'Hamlet' at the Novello Theatre (Aldwych/Covent Garden area) and although I will be on a budget i'd like to splurge on a nice meal before the play. Would anyone out there be able to recommend a restaurant near the theatre? Price is not that important, but i'd like to stay around 20-25 pounds.

L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon have a pre-theatre menu, £19 for 2 courses, £25 for 3 courses (you can see the options on their website). If you order the lamb, confirm in advance that it won't be salty!

Hazuki on Chandos Street is a nice little Japanese restaurant. The food would fall within your budget.

Christophers is just around the corner and does a pre-theatre at £19.50 for 3 courses.

32 Great Queen St would be an excellent choice, and is by far the best in the area, which suffers from being quite touristy.

Joe Allen (Exeter St) has a nice pre-theatre atmosphere, but food is average and pricy.

Shanghai Blues (High Holborn) is a good Chinese option, with a great dining room; try the desserts.
