Really good tomatoes?
Anyone know which farmers markets, stores etc. have the best tomatoes right now? I know it's prime time to find them, I just want too know where to go, thanks.

I found some great tomatoes at the brickworks farmers market this past weekend. I bought heirloom tomatoes from 3 different vendors. The tomatoes are all excellent but the prices were drastically different. At the first 2 vendors, the tomatoes were $3.00 to $4.00 per pound. Then, the last vendor, $1.50 per pound, or $5.00 for a basket, you pick what goes in. By the time I got to vendor #3, I'd spent $11 on tomatoes at the first 2 vendors but I couldn't resist the $5 basket (which was more than tomatoes than the other 2 combined) so I now have lots of great and varied heirlooms. By the way, the guy with the cheaper tomatoes is on the east side of the venue, the 2nd vendor from the south end. He has shoulder-length curly blondish hair. His produce is excellent and almost always cheaper than everywhere else at the brickworks (which can be very expensive).
