Eleven Madison Park - current best dishes? good tables to request?

So I ate at EMP once years ago (pre-Humm), and then had a top-notch light lunch there a couple years back. I'm going to be heading there in late October - anyone have any thoughts on what's particularly good right now? Not sure if we'll splurge for the gourmand menu, or stick with 3 or 4 courses instead.

Also, for a party of 4, any particularly good tables I should ask for when I reserve? To really take advantage of the beautiful space, etc? It's to celebrate a recent wedding, a recent birthday, and a recent anniversary, so we're looking to really have the best experience we can.

Thanks for any input!

Hard to say exactly what will be on the menu then as they will probably have switched to the fall menu. Certain dishes may remain but have subtle tweaks. But, regardless, the suckling pig is amazing and I don't believe the preparation changes too much between seasons.

Save room for the hors d'oeuvres and bread service. And when you make your reservation be sure to tell them that you're celebrating and it's a special occasion!

I love to sit at the bar and get gougeres and the lamb burgers...and then a dessert tasting! The bar tenders are always nice and professional.
