Disposable Gloves

babzoid1007 Sep 7, 2008 05:32 PM

Does anyone know where I can get disposable (vinyl or latex) gloves in the downtown Toronto area. I just want to buy about one or two hundred at a time (not 5000), just to use in my own kitchen.

I think most drug stores should carry latex gloves.

      Thanks Dr. Butcher,

They do - but only in packages of 10 or 20 for $5.00 and up. I'm looking for the ones that the sandwich preparers in Mr. Sub wear.

Costco may still carry these. They once carried several thicknesses suitable for hobby, kitchen, and auto service use.

I picked a couple of boxes up at costco as well, but I'm pretty sure they were packaged in boxes of 100.

Shoppers Home Health had bigger boxes as well. I'm pretty sure there was more than 10 or 20 per box. This was in the Ajax location, others should have similar stock.

I got some from Canadian Tire a couple of months back.

Cdn Tire is where I get mine. And that's the only place I have been able to find non-latex dish washing gloves too (I am allergic to latex). Both are Hero brand.

I get mine from my local "Home" hardware store "Deer Park Hardware" on Yonge Street (west side just south of St. Clair) also at "Wieners" on Bloor Street West (West of Spadina on the north side, sort of across from Book City).
They come in boxes of 100 for approx $9.00 +... I use them all year round for various tasks in the house/garden.

Dollarama has latex gloves. I can't remember if they come in pkg of 10 or 25. They also sell poly gloves (clear ones) that you see used at sandwich shops - 50/$1. These gloves are in the kitchen utensils section.

Tap Phong on Spadina sells disposable gloves by the box in different sizes. They're on the right wall towards the back.
