In search of salty, gooey goodness. Anyone know where to buy it? Or restaurants where it is a regular on the menu? I've tried Dean and Deluca but they're always sold out.

Di Palo's only have burrata cheese on Sat and Sun. I have seen burrata cheese at the Whole Foods on Bowery, but I don't know if they always carry it, and it is more expensive than at Di Palo's .

Thats' right, they only come on Saturdays at Di Palo's, but at $7.99 a lb. and comparable in price to the ones at Murray's and Ideal, and without the OP specifying when he/she needs it, I thought I'd throw it in anyway.

BTW, Murray's brings it in on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Also, and this is for the OP, 2 weeks ago I had a terrific appetizer of fresh burrata and roasted figs at Lupa. I don't remember if it is areular menu item, but it was the highlight of my meal.

I have regularly seen it at 74th Street Fairway and Citarella. It tends to get mushy/mealy very quickly, so it would be good to find out which day they receive thier orders. Unfortunately, like mozzarella, it really does not travel well.
