Cake Better Ice Cream

Do you know where you can find any cake batter ice cream in the downtown Toronto area? I heard Ben and Jerry's had some, but their scoop shops are closed until next summer, aren't they? And I haven't found the pints with that flavour in stores.

  1. There is only one place I know of with it and thats Marble slab Creamery. They havnt exactly made their way downtown yet but you will find a few out in the burbs. They sell birthday cake ice cream in cartons. It is pretty much the same as cake batter and some consider it better. I'm not exactly sure where you got your info from, but I doubt Ben and jerry scoop shop on queen west is closed yet. I never knew they had cake batter and I might have to check that out.

I can confirm that Ben and Jerry's on Queen West is not open. Walked by just last weekend wanting to get a scoop and they were closed.

I don't believe they ever re-opened this summer. I think this location is kaput.

The Vaughn Mills Ben and Jerrys location has cake batter.

Thanks, jdavis2ca. But does this mean both the Queen Street location have closed down?

    2. Dutch Dreams also has a birthday cake flavour.

I don't know, but I'm not a big fan of Dutch Dreams' birthday cake ice cream. It was just... sweet. Excessively so. Come to think of it, I don't think I actually like ANY of their ice cream flavors. The waffle CONES, on the other hand...

I've never tried the birthday cake flavour, only seen it. I did quite enjoy the cherry cheesecake and chocolate flavours though!

      2. By the missspelling in the topic, I thought you were asking " is cake better than ice cream" LOL.
