howzit hi chowhounders!

i'm putting together a list of recs for places to eat for part of my welcome letter for my out of town guests for the upcoming nuptials, and i realized, i don't have any kailua resto recs!

i just need about 1-2 casual joints... =)

Visitors usually like the setting at Buzz's at Kailua Beach Park--an old shack across the road from the ocean. Menus printed on boards...steaks, burgers, fish, etc. The food is not the main reason to go there, but it's not bad. Cash or check only.

For breakfast Moke's Bread and Breakfast and Boots and Kimos are two favorites. Off the top of my head, other possible suggestions (giving a wide range) are Lucy's, Big City Dinner and Kalapawai Cafe & Deli.

Formaggio. The garlic steak bordelaise & the lobster bisque are great.

I love Los Garcias. Lunch or dinner, I have never had a bad meal. The prices are very reasonable and, if you go at the right time, you get a serenade from a nice older couple.
