A group of 8 year olds, and their parents, are attending a soccer game this Friday. We want to tailgate, and make it special for them. What should we bring? We are about 40 minutes from the stadium, and do not have access to a grill, hot pot, outlet, etc. . .So we have to bring the food already prepared. Also keep in mind these are 8 year old boys, with slightly generic palates. No grand gourmet tailgating please. Also, final request, the boys are playing an exhibition game as the halftime show. (They are sooo excited) The food then should probably not be too heavy, as they will be running around. So far the list includes buffalo wings, some type of pasta, fruit, veggies, but am drawing a blank on another protein. Please help to make this a very special day for a group of great boys

Skewered BBQ teriyaki beef (thin strips). Meat on a stick is always good for everyone everywhere anytime (for those who eat meat).

I was thinking of adapting the idea od a 'slider' to include a variety od sandwich fillings (ham & swiss, turkey & provolone, even pb&j). Also, for a non-diabetic coma inducing treat, how about fruit dipped in chocolate? There are still some decent strawberries out there and bananas and apples would also work. The idea of meat on a stick though is a time-tested innovation...can't see that going wrong :)
