Yes, I agree, the barley shaved noodles at Shanghai Garden

          2. Szechuan Seven Peppers makes deliciously cushy and addictive hand shaven noodles.

I tried some very unique noodles at Shanghai Garden: they look exactly like water chestnuts. Yummy little noodle discs.

I like the paparadelle at Volterra.

I saw those noodle disks for sale at Whole Foods in the tofu section where they sell fresh rice noodles. Do you recall the name of the noodle dish at Shanghai Garden that used them? I'd love to try it.

Ya know I was there last night, and I scanned the menu and couldnt find anything that mentioned the noodles. But last time we discovered them on accident. I THINK it was a hand shaved noodle soup with the black mushrooms and shrimp. But Im not sure. We ordered a hand shaven noodle soup expecting to get the special noodles (like last time) and got the standard linguine version instead.

            2. House Made Trofie with Basil, Potato and Merv's Green Beans at Cafe Juanita. Yum!!

              1. The paparadelle bolognese at Pink Door is one of my favorite pastas in Seattle. Just thinking about it makes me want to call for a reservation...

LOVED the tagliatelle with mushrooms, chard and delicata squash at Spring Hill. It was my best pasta this year.

the tagliatelle w/ butter poached lobster at Crush-- the pasta was a bit on the soft/bland side but the lobster was incredibly melt-in-your-mouth tender

                2. Fettucine Carbonara at Salvatore's......done 'right'.....transported me back to Italy......
