Where to get best piece of 'pizza by the slice'? DFW

Hmm searching for a place, north if possible, that offers great pizza by the slice, where one piece really does the trick. I don't really have a preference of style of pizza, just that they would offer pizza by the slice and after the reheat, is still delicious.. a place that i wish would branch out to this area is 'one guys' from lubbock.

Thanks!

I'll second that. At our store on Lover's Lane, we order lunch from them at least 3 days a week. Really great NYC style pizza and veal parmigiana. Lover's Pizza is a real "sleeper" in Dallas. And, they deliver!

it taste just like new york, you have to fold the slice to eat it,that's how big it is.
they also have great calzone and brushettas.

          2. Angelo & Vito's at Frankford/Tollway is the best! They have NY style pizza - the Italiano is my favorite.

Sali's on Garland Rd has decent pizza by the slice.

              1. re: sandih

Seconded. Sali's is great. And they'll hook you up with free garlic bread, though you always have to ask for it.

I live nearby this place and I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip.

Angelo and Vito's used to be pretty awesome but the last few visits have turned me away forever. Pastazio's is a much better choice for that area.

The guys in my office used to eat at Angelo and Vito's weekly until it kept going down hill. They theorized that the owner was a way to nervous as in hopped up on something. It closed for a little while then reopened and seems to be much better.

Oh good to hear. I'll have to give them another shot then.

                  2. If you come South a bit, try Campania on Mckinney Avenue in the West Village area.
Great Naples style thin crust pizza!

Unless the menu has changed recently, Campania does not offer pizza by the slice.

Is that the same name and same place as the pizza by the slice place just around the corner from Primo's and Breadwinners off McKinney Ave. If so, I definitely recommend it. Not the best pizza in town but as far as pizza by the slice, it is probably the best that i know about.
