Center Stage Cafe in Dennis

We were going to the art show at the Cape Cod Museum of Art to stopped for an early supper. The dining room is open and rather stark. We opted to sit in the cozy AC cooled pub. The cushions were not to comfy but we settled in. Our waitress was delightful. We came specifically for sushi as seen in their website. She told us there was none. When she said there was seared tuna entree (19.00) I asked why the chef could not do the tuna sashimi app instead. He agreed. We had lovely wine by the glass. The foccia bread came and was stale. There was no butter and a cloudy bottle of olive oil. No thanks.

My dining companion enjoyed her BBQ ribs, mashed potatoes and slaw. My other companion enjoyed her cheesy chicken quesadilla. My tuna was so so. It did not taste fresh nor did it have flavour.

I was still hungry and was dying to try the Rum Cake. A small slice came with canned whipped cream. It was clearly a out of the box bright yellow mix with a few walnuts and some rum hard sauce. It was a big let down.

. The waitress, the ribs, the quesadilla and the wine made the night passable.
