Winston-Salem

Where's a good place for a nice meal on a football weekend? I searched the board and Ryan's is booked solid...any other ideas?

You might want to try West End Cafe - it's not too far from the stadium, they have great food and drinks and there should be something for everyone.

Thanks for all the replies..turns out our hotel was by the airport...we ending up having dinner Friday night at Steak Street...it was a party of 16...nice jazz trio playing while we had dinner....very nice steak and good service for a large party....

Same question as the dawg...however if you're looking for nice meal, similar price range as Ryan's, give Milner's a try. It's a good place, you'll get a nice meal and the menu is way more creative than Ryan's. If you can provide more details, other suggestions will come.

Do you have any cuisine, price range or prefered location? There's not much in close proximity to Wake's stadium. Downtown isn't too far...Downtown Thai, Sweet Potatoes and Hutch & Harris are all good. Finnigan's Wake and Foothills Brewing are good for more casual, pub fare.

Is a reservation recommended for Downtown Thai on a Friday night?

I wouldn't think so, unless there is some sort of special event going on, like WFU homecoming.

Downtown Thai: fantastic. I had the fried duck stir fry and my friend had the coconut curry chicken. Her's was probably better, but both were great.
