We are just staying one night in the area to check out the falls.

Which place is a must?

Thanks!

No question, Stone Road Grille is the best in the area.
Zee's is handy and does good things like burger, fries, mac-cheese, but Stone Road is a winner.

          Thanks!

Have reservations for Treadwell on Friday and Stone Road on Sat.

Any recs on what to order at either place? Specialty dishes, etc...

Their risottos are wonderful at SRG. The "three little pigs" is different each time, but it usually great. They do wonderful things with local produce, so see what strikes your fancy and go for it. And for sheer fun, the maple cotton candy it great for dessert!

Agree with TorontoJo's rec's for SRG.

At Treadwell, the roasted beets and the heirloom tomato salad are wonderful right now, but the menu will change with the availability of ingredients.

The 7-Up braised pork belly is decadent. The house-made ice creams are superb. If they are offering any "Featherstone" lamb, definitely give it a try. I know that Chef Treadwell has purchased several of these lambs, which come from Featherstone winery, where they feasted on a diet of grape leaves that has made their taste quite unique. I went to a Slow Food dinner at the winery last weekend, where they roasted a whole lamb, and it was superb.

SRG does an excellent charcuterie plate. Wonderful assortment of homemade sausages and other delectable items.

Good choice picking this one. Far better than Zee's in both value and taste.

              Treadwell's will not disappoint.

Well said, FlyingChef. Zees is overrated and had some of the coldest service I've ever received. Stone Road Grill for sure!
