Looking for Recommendation for Fort Lauderdale/Boca

Hi All,

I'm looking for a restaurant in the Fort Lauderdale or Boca area. I have a party of 12 and some picky & complicated eaters. We're looking for someplace that may have a private room as some of our party are elderly and, well... it's a party, so a little privacy is nice. Lastly, price isn't a concern.

My picky eaters like pasta and basic dishes and my complicated have serious food allergies (Gluten and Dairy). I'm looking for a place that has a Chef and staff who understand food allergies and can be accommodating without diminishing the quality/flavor the food.

Due to my food allergy folks, most French, most Italian, Chinese and Indian are all pretty much out. I realize that this is a lot of place and that's why I need some help. Lastly, regarding my allergy folks, I'm not looking for a restaurant that specializes in allergy friendly meals, just some place that can work around it and still deliver excellent food.

Thanks in advance.

    1. If price isn't an option perhaps Riley McDermott's on Las Olas -- they have a private dining area in their wine room which is nice.

Casa d' Angelo's also has a private dining area in their wine room which is nice -- it is Italian but they have a huge menu and can make you pretty much anything you request. Food and service is always great there. They also have a location now in Boca which is much more modern then the Fort Lauderdale location.

Johnny V is also alright but I have always found the service and food to be hit or miss. It can be great or it can be extremely average.

        1. I have planned dinners 15-25 people at the following restaurants
ANTHONY'S RUNWAY 84 - Italian but no private room
Blue Moon Fish Co. - Seafood but no private room
CASA D'ANGELO - Across from the boca mall has a nice private room but its italian
CHIMA - Brazilian meatfest but no private room
DARREL AND OLIVER'S CAFÉ MAXX - Nice back room
JACKSONS 450 - Steakhouse on Las olas with private room
JOHNNY V - Great food but no private room
MORTON'S STEAKHOUSE - Across from boca mall. Nice private room
RUTH'S CHRIS STEAKHOUSE - In mizner park. Private back room
SHULA'S ON THE BEACH - Steakhouse with private room
THE RIVER HOUSE - Private Room
          TIMPANO'S - Private Room
TRINA'S RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE - Private room upstairs
17TH STREE FISHERY - Classic Ft. Lauderdale seafood joint. Don't remember if they have a private room.

Given picky eaters, i would look more toward one of the steak houses such as morton's or jackson's unless you have vegetarians.

Would you by any chance have a similar list of restaurant recommendations (re gluten & dairy intolerances) for the Miami/ South Beach area?

Thank-you in advance for your help.
