Recs for good waterfront dining in Manhattan or Brooklyn

Looking for a nice place with good/great food on the water in either Manhattan or Brooklyn. Most any cuisine would work, but seafood would be nice.

We have a reservation at the Water Club for Saturday and will post a review. Couldn't find out too much about the River Cafe, but the Chart House looks fantastic and has a great menu. We're in Hoboken, so Weehaken isn't a bad trip - we'll try that another time. Thanks for the recs.

You can literally walk to the chart house from hoboken (in the ruth chris complex)..request a window seat...

With the rains last night, we decided to go to Chart House rather then schlep around New York. What a great move that was. The views probably would have been spectacular without the bad weather, but no matter, the fabulous food and service made up for it. Fantastic! The crazy halibut was outstanding. Oysters, spinach salad, stuffed shrimp and lava chocolate cake were also great. Service was spot on. Thanks for the rec!

I know this may not be when you want to be, but the chart house in weekhawken is incredible...the food is fantastic and the view is BEAUTIFUL!

The Water Club. Upstairs outside for casual or inside downstairs for more formal. Great raw bar. And a fantastic Sunday brunch buffet.
