LA Chowhounder heading to Las Vegas-- needs authentic ethnic restaurants

I'm heading to Las Vegas on Thursday for work for three days and need to know what you all recommend for authentic ethnic cuisines in the city. Any countries you can think of! I love a good hole in the wall.

Thanks so much!

And by the way-- I consider "ethnic" food to be of any ethnicity other than middle North American.

For instance, I've just read about Swiss Cafe and Polish Deli. How are they? Does Polish Deli serve food, or is it more for buying things to bring home?

For good German food, I know it's a bit of a chain now but it's still pretty good, go to Hofbrauhaus across the street from Hard Rock.

Rincon de Buenos Aires for their mixed grills.

Just don't order vegetables on the side. (See http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/545031 -- I'm finally going public with the restaurant in questions.

Seriously, for great ethnic hole-in-the-wall, how about Sai Indian Curry on Maryland Parkway just south of Tropicana. And La Mexicana on Decatur....

The obvious recommendation would be Lotus of Siam. Search this board for LOS and you'll get, oh, 6,000 or so hits.
