jerk in crown/prospect heights

so i often order from "the islands" on washington but i would like to eat jerk prepared on the grill (oil barrel etc). does anybody have any favorites? i tried curried goat at the parade but can't shake my craving for good jerk chicken.

Go to Peppa's on Flatbush Avenue near Church Ave. It'd be a very long stretch to call it Crown Heights (it's basically East Flatbush/Flatbush, but it is far up the avenue) but it's worth the trip.

normally i'm a big peppa's fan, but last time i was there it was disappointing. the chicken seemed old and tired and not reall "bbq'd" enough. skin was flabby. don't know if it was just an off day or if there was a change in ownership or what. would be interested in trying another good jerk place--as well as one that did jerk pork.

Joyce's....Avenue D, just east of Utica....amazing jerk chicken.....unfortunately don't do pork.
