USOpen & Outdoor Seating

Want to find a place for lunch where we can sit outside AND watch the Open on tv. Any suggestions? Am on the UWS, but willing to travel, if need be. Thanks!

As has been the case for the past few years, the US Open is being televised in Madison Square Park, home of the Shake Shack.

Has Hill Country set up a stand in the park?

Hill Country, Rickshaw Dumplings and Country all have stands set up. No Danny Meyer jonts ths year which is a little weird...

Well, Shake Shack is a Danny Meyer "joint."

True but past years the other food places were usually Blue Smoke and Tabla both Danny Meyer "Joints"

With Hill Country participating, it doesn't make much sense for Blue Smoke to be there as well. The bbq styles are different, but still....

Oh I totally agree. What I find strange is that every other year there were ONLY Blue Smoke and Tabla. I figured Danny Meyer had kind of the run on the park with the Shack and all.

I was surprised to see anything OTHER than Danny Meyer stuff for the first time. All three are in the north west end of the park.
