There were more in days past. One I recommend today is when Richie Fauno is playing at the Villa Nova restaurant on PCH/Mariner's Mile in Newport Beach.
    Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays

I hope others post with other possibles. I love piano and singing.

Is the guest Japanese by any chance? "Piano bar" has a different meaning, if so.

Call and see who's going to be playing at La Cave:

Possibly the most surreal bar/restaurant in Orange County, they have live music pretty regularly.

La Cave certainly has music, but a piano bar? Villa Nova is the most classic recommendation I can think of - I can't really vouch for the food - but they're open late and have quite an interesting wine list.

The bar in both Mastro's Ocean Club and Mastro's Steakhouse have a piano player.
