Monday night dinner in Paris

Please help me find a nice, romantic, place to get great food near Eiffel Tower for dinner tomorrow night. Did not have a great food experience tonight at La Coupole (although the waiter was SUPER nice). Budget - under $200 for 2 (including wine). Open to any cusine. Thanks so much in advance!!!

  1. This is a little late, but some options of places that might meet your criteria, are open on Monday, and have been well reviewed by Chowhounders and others are Florimond (19 av. La Motte-Picquet, 01 45 55 40 38, Pasco (Mediterranean, 74 bd La Tour-Maubourg, 01 44 18 33 26), and P'tit Troquet (28 r. L'Exposition, 01 47 05 80 39). You may want to call ahead and see if they have a table available. Good luck!

I definitely second Florimond, Pasco and Le P'tit Troquet. You'd need reservations though, since they are tiny except for Pasco.

    2. Please if anyone is reading this I could really use the exact same advice - We're going to Paris in January for just on Monday night and would love to find a good place for dinner - under 250 EUROS. Thank you!

      1. Just to clarify, the Eiffel Tower is not a factor for me. I'm just looking for good food on a Monday, which seems to rule out quite a few places that are closed on Mondays... I'm staying in the 6th. So far, I've only come up with la Regalade and the Comptoir du Relais. The Regalade is too far to walk, though and I would prefer to walk (though will walk pretty far!) and the Comptoir has been very tricky to reserve in my experience - also it's a bit crammed/grumpy-snobby.

Haven't been to any of these myself, just some ideas...
          Ze Kitchen Galerie
          Les Fables de la Fontaine
          Les Cocottes

I've not been to the others that you mention, but Fables de la Fontaine is one of my favorite restaurants. It's small and cramped but has wonderful service and great food. Seafood is their specialty. My current favorite dish (not just at Fables but anywhere) is their shrimp in a crispy shell dipped in a lime and basil dipping sauce. Superb!!
