I love Giorgio's Pizza on 71st and 2nd, P.J. Bernstein's has the best potato pancakes I have ever eaten.
For lunch specials, Spice for Thai, on 73 and 2nd has a pretty decent thai fair, and the lunch specials are very reasonably priced.
My favorite lunch special is at Zucchero e Pomodori, an AMAZING Italian restaurant in the neighborhood...go there hungry.
