Boerum Hill Food Co- what happened?
Did the kitchen change over there? I've been a patron literally since their 1st week. They've had their ups and downs but brunch this morning was a shocker. Friendly service? Yes. New coffee? Yes to Stumptown!
But the food. What happened? Its like a high school home ec class took over the kitchen while the chef was on vacation.
Shame on you guys...
I don't think this is new. I had the same reaction last summer when I took some out-of-town guests there for brunch & was utterly embarrassed. The most memorable example: the biscuits that tasted like baking powder and the waitress who just shrugged and didn't offer to make amends when I told her. I haven't been back since.
I have to second that. Have been a customer for a few years and in the last few months they've plummeted in quality. Pre-packaged sandwiches; pastries shipped in from somewhere instead of the home-made cakes. I've given them a few chances but they are now officially off my list.
