Thai place next door to Grace Garden

Given how long Grace Garden has been there before they were "discovered" and posted to Chowhound, I find myself wondering if anybody has any reports on the Thai place next door.

I know, I know - if you're going to drive there, it's awfully hard to even consider not going to Grace Garden. But I can't help but wonder if I dare hope for two gems in one little strip mall.

The hostess at Grace Garden says that she's heard some people rave about the Thai place, and she has also heard from others who didn't seem to like it, but I was curious if anybody on Chowhound has experiences to report.

Certainly not a hidden gem along the lines of Grace Garden, but it's not too bad. We wanted to go to GG on a Sunday, but discovered it was closed, so we opted for the thai place next door. I got a pad see ew for a general comparison, and it was okay. We also tried the papaya salad and a shrimp dish. All the dishes were a little too salty for my taste, although the flavors were okay. Overall, it's no better than most acceptable thai restaurants. It's certainly not anything like in the class of Bangkok Garden (both the Columbia and Bethesda locations).
