Any rec's for a great dinner in Brea, Ca?
Hi All,
This Sunday I'm going to see my one of my favorite comedian's Lisa Lampanelli in Brea, CA. I'll be driving down from Echo Park and I'm in search of a moderately priced dinner for my family and I. I am totally open to any kinds of food, just so you can get a feel of what I'm into, here are some of my favorite places in my neck of the woods.
1. Cafe Beaujolais in Eagle Rock
2. Mario's Peruvian in Hollywood
3. Soot Bull Jeep in K.Town
4. Bernie's Teriyaki on Glendale Blvd.
5. Mi Piace in Pasadena
Any suggestions in or around Brea, CA would be extremely helpful. Thanks so much, pumpsandminis

just wanted to say thank you all for all of your recommendations.
we ended up going to dinner at taps, and I have to say the food was excellent.
I ordered a grilled halibut on a bed of goat cheese risotto with some kind of sweet hollandaise sauce. YUM. and my mother in law ordered the crab legs which were amazingly soft and scrumptious. I have to say though that it was alot more than we wanted to spend...but oh so worth it. -
If you go to Mammalucco's on Imperial Hwy and Kramer (head east on Imperial Hwy, just a bit past the 57fwy, it's closeby) you'll be surprised to find a place that makes fantastic pizza and almost as noteworthy pasta dishes (I recommend spinach napolitan if you love a heavy, creamy dish, or a lemon chicken sauce pasta dish, the name I can't recall, for lighter far. The owner John there is great and a real nice guy, and he serves a great NY style pizza.
One of the things I love about the place though, is they do the simple things just right, hence all the other flavors if you so wish to add fall right into place. Still my favorite hands down in Orange County for a plain cheese pizza or a light lunch of garlic bread and salad w/homemade italian dressing.

Taps and Yard House are walking distance to the Improv. Cheesecake Factory, BJ's, and California Pizza Kitchen are near the Brea Mall. If you don't mind a short drive to Fullerton there are a number of places you'd enjoy. Roma Cucina has great italian food, Hero's makes great burgers and sandwiches. Enjoy Lisa - she's really crazy and funny.
