What is it called? Portuguese pastry roll...
I used to live at Oakwood and Rogers, in Toronto, and on the west side of Oakwood, just south of Rogers is a large portuguese bakery. There were two things that I bought on an almost daily basis but I can't remember what they were called..
The first one is not too important because it was just a large bun stuffed with chouriço, but he second I'd like to try and make but need to find out the name.
It was basically a flaky pastry roll, about 15-20 cm long, open ended and stuffed with an amazing paté-type hashed meat. It usually sold out before 10 am.
If anyone knows what it's called, or is in the area and can check, I would be extremely appreciative!!!!
