College Park area restaurants

Hi. I am bringing my daughter to University of Maryland tomorrow, and I am looking for a decent restaurant for tomorrow night. We don't care for Indian food, but anything else is fine. I haven't seen much near the campus that looks appealing. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I would take her to Franklin's - a few miles south of U of MD on Rt. 1.

One of you should get the broiled mussels app.

There's the original Ledo's Pizza in Langley Park, a short drive from campus.

If you're into Korean food, there are many choices in Beltsville just north of College Park: noodles, Korean fried chicken, barbecue.

Right by the campus are Marathon Deli (great gyros and souvlaki) and Plato's Diner (all kinds of food - Greek and American).

I had a great burger the last time I went to Thirsty Turtle, but that was a few months ago.

Decent subs at Potbelly and Jimmy John's (I know they're chains, but the food is okay).

I'll second the recommendations for Platos and Franklins! Platos is a good greasy spoon, and Franklin's is a really nice brew pub. Their lamb sliders are to die for.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! We ended up eating at Franklin's. The Thai appetizer trio was delicious. My daughter's chicken pot pie was great. I had the special pizza with heirloom tomatoes, which I shouldn't have ordered. It wasn't special. My husband had fish, which was good. Thanks again. I will try another place the next time visit. The general store is adorable to hang out in waiting for a table.
