Where can I find the best Chocolate & Raspberry Dessert in B'more?

The man's birthday is coming up and I would like to have something chocolate & raspberry for dessert as that is his favorite combo. I am not much of a dessert person, so I am clueless. Can anyone recommend a fave?

    1. The molten chocolate cake at Roy's Restaurant is TO DIE FOR!! I think they garnish it with raspberries but there aren't raspberries in it per say. but sooo good. Actually, do you mean a dessert to buy and eat at home or at a restaurant?

Last time I had it it was garnished with strawberries.

If you prefer, they will substitute the strawberries with the raspberries. FoiGras

            2. While I can't speak directly to those flavors but Bonjour on Falls Rd. Has an amazing dessert case! I'm pretty sure they'd have something in the chocolate Rasberry combination- Their deserts are devine and have the special occasion feel.

                1. Oooohhh, that's one of my favorite combinations too, particularly if it is chocolate souffle with raspberry sauce. Alas, I don't know any restaurants in Baltimore that have anything like that. But!!! If you're thinking inside the box >groan< think about giving him a beautiful box of Rheb's dark chocolate raspberry creams and raspberry jellies tied up with a big satin ribbon. Or may a mix of milk chocolates and dark chocolates. Their store is across from St. Agnes Hospital, and they also have a big stall at Lexington Market (not too far from the Berger cookie stall), which is where I go whenever I want a box of local chocolates to bring to somebody special.

                    1. Sugarbakers in Catonsville (right off the beltway) has the best chocolate/raspberry cake. It's called the Raspberry Ribbon cake. It's super decadent and a special occasion dessert only. The 6 inch one for $26 goes a long way.

                      Here's the menu:

I forgot to mention--you can dine at Meli's for lunch or dinner. But, it's a great place to stop in for dessert only or take out the desserts as you would a regular bakery. FoiGras

Agree fully. We had this and it was to die for. So yummy.

Agree, P. Poupon's chocolate/rapberry cake is by far the best of its kind in Baltimore. There really is no comparsion between the pastries here and elsewhere in Baltimore.

I third Patisserie Poupon's Triomphe cake. It is a chocolate cake with kirsch, raspberry preserves, and chocolate ganache.

                                                1. Mari Luna has a Napolean with a custard, crispy layers, chocolate, caramel and fresh raspberries....delicious, just had this evening
