Matt's, Steelhead or Campagne?

I'm coming into this saturday and have a few hours to spend downtown. Where should I eat for brunch/lunch? I won't have a car, so I need to keep it from around Pike's Place up to 7th Ave. near the Mall.

  1. If it's brunch, I'd say Steelhead (get the Sequimbled Eggs). If it's lunch, I'd say Matt's.

      thanks!

    2. You can't go wrong with Matts nor Steelhead. Steelhead is very down home comfort food with a modern twist. Matt has left Matt's so I can't comment on how the food is this last month, but I fully expect it to remain one of the top places downtown!

      1. I vote Matt's- I was there once for lunch and had a wonderful experience. Try the catfish sandwich! and sit at the stool bar unless you have a group with you. They give wonderful drink and wine suggestions and I loved my bartender/server with the thick black glasses

        1. I've never had a good meal at Steelhead, despite several visits. Haven't been to Matts recently but I also haven't heard any bad reviews of it. I do, however, love Cafe Campagne for brunch or lunch (and enjoyed the two dinners I've had at Campagne as well).

i've only had good meals at steelhead, but we often eat heavy-on-appetizers style. The corn on the cob and fried smelt, in particular, are out of this world.

          2. Thanks, I just made reservations for the counter at noon on Saturday @Matt's.
