Enkuntatash (Ethiopian New Year) Sept 11, 2008..any special food?

I'm just wondering if there will be any celebrations in the Bay Area for the Ethiopian New Year on Sept 11? I thought I found something happening on Sept 7, 2008 in Oakland, but can't find it again.

Any special Ethipian food?

  1. I have been to celebrations in the East Bay at Lake Merritt. Sponsored by the Ethiopian Church in the East Bay (not the name). I don't remember the names of the foods-- just major yumminess going on:)
