Hecho en Dumbo--must make up for lost time

I stumbled upon Hecho en Dumbo this evening and was very impressed. I'm surprised that somehow I've missed hearing anything about it. The cocktails are delicious, but more importantly, the food was first-rate. I'm so excited to have found great Mexican food in neighborhood! My favorite dish by far was a tasty crabmeat appetizer--real crabmeat and avocado topping a delicious corn "pancake." Wow, I could have eaten several orders. Not to say I left hungry. The plates are small, but they are robust and filling and felt like the perfect amount. I will be returning, again and again!

  1. I'm a big fan of the Hecho en Dumbo sampler platter... It's $18 and can easily feed 2, especially if you start off with the guacamole appetizer. You'll get a great (and filling) assortment of foods (burritas, tacos, arepas, a bruschetta-ish dish, etc.).

ohhhh I was eyeing that! Next time will try. Thanks for the tip.

    2. The burritas are some of the best Mexican items in the city. Glory.

      1. I like the food but I always walk out of there and i smell like grease. They only need to istall an exhaust with a hood
