K.C. Report

In town last weekend for a convention. Friday night Ijust wanted to take the staff out for some meat and drinks. Went to Plaza 3. Had a great time. Food was what you would expect, not superb, not bad. What was great was the service by Jennifer. We pretty much ran her silly and we got a bit loud towards the end of dinner. BTW loved the white chedder potatos.

Saturday night was Le Fou Frog. We loved this place from the minute we walked in. Great atmosphere and a friendly staff. Food was pretty good too. Mike, our server was great.

Sunday night was Re: Verse. Funky place designwise but we liked it. It wasn't busy which was too bad for them but good for us. Pot Roast sliders were awesome. A special shout out to Joey, our server. Really helpful, very friendly. When we wanted to split an entree after having several small plates, it was no problem.

The last night we were pretty worn out from the weekend so just wanted some decent food and service. Got neither at Ted's Montana Grill. Went there because it was closeby. What a mistake. After three wonderful nights of service this was this was the pits. The place was practically empty, yet we waited five minutes waiting to be seated until I hog-tied a server for a table. Our server got our app order wrong, didn't answer our questions and though our burgers were good, the fries didn't arrive 'till halfway through our dinner. Stay Away.

Three winners and a dog. Not a bad average.

Thanks for the report! Love hearing about first impressions, and your assessments are right on, though I haven't been to Le Fou Frog in quite a while, unfortunately. That used to be a fave spot to unwind on the patio Friday after work. Why I haven't been in a while, I don't know. We always ended up chatting with other tables, it's such a convivial spot. Great place to get to know KC!
